Let’s see if I remember how to type anything more than a status update.
It’s been awhile! I left this (short-lived) blog at the beginning of the year to really focus on things going on in my life. I have not forgotten about it though. Quite often I’ve wanted to write here, use this outlet, connect with others, but laziness always won. There is a journal and a planner sitting on my nightstand that are equally neglected (not quite as much), but for some reason tonight I felt extra drawn to a blog post.
Since we left off…I had started working out again after my knee injury, then injured my tailbone falling down the stairs, frequently visited the chiropractor for months, continued my group/individual/couples therapy, made huge progress in my marriage (yay!!), gained some weight through it all, made some goals to get back in shape, fell deeply in love with Core Power Yoga, quit my part-time job, and got pregnant. Pregnant!
This is all quickly summed up for you, obviously, but I can’t tell you how excited and nervous I am to have baby #3 join our family. Oh, and say goodbye to the goals to get back into shape. I’ve never been so tired in my life and exercising is the last thing that I want to be doing right now. I’m about 11 weeks along and hoping that once 2nd trimester comes along, some energy will kick back in as well. Sasha is mightily hoping for a sister but I am doing my best to prepare him (and myself) for another boy. We will be happy either way.
So much peace has been brought into my life the past 7 months. Although I’m far from where I imagined myself at 30 (forgot to mention I had a big birthday), I can’t help but to be grateful for all the progress that has been made. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get around to this blog more often?
And for fun, a pic from one of our more recent adventures – Arches National Park. It was a quick trip and we mainly drove around (popped a tire) and hiked to the Double Arch (pictured). Hopefully, we will make it back in the fall for some more fun!
