At the beginning of the summer, I posted a little blog about my taste in fashion, or lack there of I suppose. I keep it pretty basic and simple. When it comes to getting ready, I’m not any different. I have my staple products and look for those that make the process quick, yet flawless.
At any given day, you will find these in my bathroom. When they run out, I get more. Sometimes I even stock up on them. That should tell you just how much I love them. (Pardon the iPhone photos.)
2 // Bed Head After Party // My mom got this for me along with a CHI straightener when I was 17 years old. Best Christmas present ever. I’m now 29, so I guess I’ve been using it on and off for quite awhile. Nothing makes my hair as silky and smooth as this does.
3 // eos Shave Cream // On a whim I decided to try this out at the beginning of the year. I will never use anything else.
5 // MAC Bronzing Powder // MAC is my go to brand for almost everything. Anything I buy from there looks and feels amazing. Plus, the products last forever. You get your money’s worth for sure.
6 // MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot // I believe this color is Bare Study. I use it as a primer/base or I just wear it on it’s own. It literally won’t budge or crease.
7 // Zoya // Why oh why do I love this nailpolish? I just dooooooo. I feel like it applies so well and stays on forever. Plus, it’s supposedly free from all the nasty harmful chemicals.
8 // Seche Vite Top Coat // Do not even bother yourself with another top coat. This one dries quickly, stays on for weeks (if needed), and almost gives a gel effect to your nails. I don’t have time to mess with nails every other day, so basically this is essential.
9 // Lancome Definicils Mascara // Ever since my mission in Ukraine, when a friend let me borrow her mascara (desperate times), I have used this mascara. I have sensitive eyes and this is easy on them. I like the separating formula but it does lack something that I can’t figure out. The only other mascara that I’ve liked besides this is Benefit’s Major Major Lash.
10 // Benefit Gimme Brow // What is up with brows. All I know is that I have zero time or energy to make them look fabulous, so the next best thing is this. I just brush on the product, brush out some so that it’s all even, and voila. I have eyebrows!
What do you think? For some reason I have such an easy time purchasing beauty products, but send me to the store to find a pair of jeans, shirt, or shoes, and I will most likely have a panic attack. Or just become hangry and resent everyone around me. I’m grateful for all the family and friends that have put up with me through the years.
What are some of your favorite beauty products? I will be doing some more shopping this week for foundation. Any suggestions are welcome.
