one big blur

The other day Denys and I tried to get out and go on a fun date. He got off of work early and my mom came over to watch the kids. All packed up for a hike, we left towards the canyon (super excited). Unfortunately, our plans came to a stop much too soon.

About 5 minutes away from our destination, a truck that was passing us had some loose cargo that decided to fly in our direction. The timing of everything is just insane. No traffic. Just us and them and the ginormous paddle board that crashed into our car right as we happened to be passing them. No sooner. No later.

Thankfully, we are fine. The paddle board was very heavy and did significant damage to our car. Our only car, by the way. And we missed our hike. It could have been much worse though, so I am choosing to look on the bright side of things. We got a rental car for the time being and hopefully our car will be fixed ASAP.

Anyway, that’s where my mind has been.

I feel like every day, moment, conversation, and feeling is all one big blur lately. Let’s not even talk about the amount of cookies I consumed today or how I can’t seem to find the time to get a run in.

On a positive note – IT’S BEDTIME!!!
